Offshore careers offer technical challenge, international experience, responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to some of the world’s most important energy and marine projects. Yet the industry remains predominantly male, and many talented women still do not see a clear route into this extraordinary world.
At Atlas NextWave, we have seen first-hand the knowledge, resilience and leadership women bring to offshore environments. She Goes Offshore makes these career paths more visible, connects women with professionals and employers who can guide them, and provides the practical knowledge needed to take the next step.

She Goes Offshore brings women, employers and industry professionals together to make offshore careers more visible, accessible and achievable. Every session combines inspiration with practical guidance and connections that can continue long after the event.

She Goes Offshore begins in Mexico and will expand across Latin America and the Caribbean, with sessions planned for Brazil, Suriname, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, and other important offshore markets. Every country has its own industry, workforce needs and barriers to entry. That is why our sessions will be shaped locally, together with female professionals, clients and industry networks that understand the market. What connects every location is one shared ambition: to make offshore careers more visible, accessible and achievable for women throughout the region.
Where in the world should She Goes Offshore go next?

More offshore employers are setting clear ambitions to increase female participation across their workforces. Achieving those ambitions requires more than a target. It requires early engagement, greater visibility of career opportunities and a recruitment partner that can connect employers with talent before a vacancy even opens. Through She Goes Offshore, Atlas NextWave helps companies reach female professionals, identify transferable skills and develop stronger long-term workforce pipelines. Employers can contribute to the initiative as speakers, hosts, industry partners or organisations ready to offer genuine career opportunities.
We do not only want to recruit from the existing talent pool. We want to help expand it.

Atlas NextWave and the Women’s Energy Network Mexico Chapter will launch the first She Goes Offshore event in Veracruz on Saturday 5 September 2026. The morning will bring together women from the energy, marine and offshore sectors for dialogue, networking and practical conversations about building and progressing a career offshore. Participants will have the opportunity to meet other professionals, hear different perspectives and discover how they can become part of the growing She Goes Offshore network.

Follow the development of She Goes Offshore, discover upcoming events and meet the women, companies and industry partners helping us create new career pathways across the region.
