Support the Chief Mate, First Officer, and Second Officer in overseeing the unit's marine operations, ensuring personnel safety, the proper condition of equipment, and environmental protection.

Job description

Technical or university education in a related field
Valid Unlimited Third Officer License
Knowledge of technical calculations required for the safe operation of the vessel

Responsibilities:

Support the safe navigation of the vessel in accordance with company policies, regulations, and maritime best practices
Become familiar with bridge equipment and navigation systems
Assist in voyage planning and vessel movements
Participate in anchoring operations
Verify the proper functioning of navigation equipment in compliance with applicable regulations (SOLAS, Class, and Flag State requirements)
Assist in the maintenance of deck equipment, firefighting equipment, and lifesaving appliances
Contribute to maintaining the vessel in safe operating condition
Support watertight integrity, cargo handling, and operations involving supply vessels and helicopters
Participate in inspections, audits, and certification processes
Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
Maintain proper vessel stability, draft, and trim
Support the operation of subsea equipment when applicable
Use Dynamic Positioning (DP) simulators for training purposes when available
Report equipment failures or anomalies to the supervisor or Master
Assist with preventive maintenance of marine department equipment
Knowledge of Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems
Comply with the company's safety policies and procedures
