    Atlas Professionals is supporting a leading operator in the UK energy sector with the recruitment of an experienced Electrical Technician to join their Production Operations Team offshore. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a long-term contract supporting offshore gas production assets in the Morecambe Bay region.

    Job description

    Location: Offshore UK (Morecambe Bay Assets)
    Rotation: 2 Weeks On / 3 Weeks Off
    Crew Change: Blackpool
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract Duration: Initial 12-month assignment

    The Role
    As an Offshore Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment across offshore production facilities.

    Working within a multi-disciplinary operations team, you will play a key role in maintaining asset reliability, safety and operational performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Execute planned and corrective maintenance on offshore electrical systems and equipment.
    • Diagnose faults and perform first-line troubleshooting activities.
    • Carry out inspections, testing and calibration activities in line with maintenance schedules.
    • Support reliability and performance improvement initiatives through fault investigation and root cause analysis.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.
    • Supervise specialist contractors and vendors when required.
    • Contribute to emergency response activities and uphold the highest HSE standards.
    • Work collaboratively with offshore and onshore teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.

    Requirements

    • Vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering.
    • Previous offshore electrical maintenance experience within the oil & gas or energy sector.
    • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
    • Good communication and organisational abilities.
    • Current offshore certification including:
    • BOSIET/FOET (or equivalent Offshore Survival)
    • Offshore Medical
    • MIST

    Desirable

    • Experience acting as or working towards SAEP/REP responsibilities.
    • Knowledge of power generation and distribution systems.
    • Experience working within a production operations environment offshore.
