She Goes Offshore is heading to Guyana next
Mexico to host the first She Goes Offshore event on 5 September
Atlas NextWave and the Women’s Energy Network Mexico Chapter will launch the first She Goes Offshore event in Veracruz on Saturday 5 September 2026. The morning will bring together women from the energy, marine and offshore sectors for dialogue, networking and practical conversations about building and progressing a career offshore.
The beginning of something bigger
The event in Mexico will mark the beginning of a wider initiative that Atlas NextWave intends to develop across Latin America and the Caribbean. Atlas NextWave recently established its presence in Mexico, one of the region’s most experienced and competitive energy markets. Our ambition is not simply to become another recruitment company operating in the country. We want to contribute something distinctive and valuable to the market. She Goes Offshore is one of the ways we will do that. By bringing together female professionals, industry leaders, employers and specialist recruiters, the initiative can help companies reach a wider talent pool while giving more women access to the information and connections needed to pursue offshore careers.
Making the route offshore more visible
Many women already possess the technical knowledge, transferable skills, leadership qualities and determination the offshore industry needs. What is often less visible is how those capabilities translate into offshore roles, what additional preparation may be required and where the opportunities can be found. The first She Goes Offshore session will create space for open conversations about these questions. Participants will be able to share experiences, build their professional networks and learn more about the different routes into offshore employment. The morning will also introduce the wider She Goes Offshore ambition and explore how women, employers and industry partners can help build a strong network of female offshore professionals in Mexico, the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.
