    Atlas Nextwave are sourcing a Senior Structural Designer for one of our clients based in Aberdeen on an initial 12 month contract.

    Job description

    We are seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join our clients team in Aberdeen. You will execute brownfield modification projects within a dynamic drilling facilities environment.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design Delivery: Produce high-quality structural design deliverables, drawings, and 3D models.
    • Brownfield Engineering: Execute modification scopes specifically tailored to drilling facilities and topside structures.
    • Surveys: Conduct onshore and occasional offshore site surveys to gather precise technical data.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Structural Engineer to ensure designs meet strict client and regulatory specs.
    • Quality Assurance: Review, check, and approve structural design packages and fabrication drawings.


    Required Skills & Experience

    • Industry Experience: Experience in UKCS upstream oil and gas structural design.
    • Technical Expertise: Proven track record in brownfield modifications and drilling facilities engineering.
    • Software Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard 3D modeling and 2D drafting platforms (e.g., E3D, PDMS, AutoCAD).
    • Location Presence: Must be able to commute to the Aberdeen office 3 days per week.
    • Offshore Readiness: Valid offshore certification (BOSIET/FOET, CA-EBS, MIST) is highly preferable due to the offshore uplift structure.
