    Job description

    • We are seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler to support a long-term sickness cover position within the UK West Coast Transmission team.

      The successful candidate will be part of the Transmission Outage Management team, providing planning and scheduling support for works across onshore and offshore substations and associated support equipment for Transmission assets. While the role will primarily focus on West Coast assets, it will also involve working collaboratively with colleagues across the UK East region as part of the new UK organisational structure.

      This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage planning activities, work to tight deadlines, and maintain a strong focus on safety in all aspects of their work.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Support the planning and scheduling of works for onshore and offshore substations.
      • Coordinate planning activities relating to associated support equipment across Transmission assets.
      • Develop and maintain schedules to support outage management activities.
      • Work closely with the UK West team while collaborating with colleagues across the UK East region.
      • Ensure planning activities are delivered within required timescales and in line with operational requirements.
      • Maintain a strong focus on safety throughout all planning and scheduling activities.
      • Utilise SAP as the primary system for works planning and scheduling.
      • Proven experience as a Planner / Scheduler.
      • Experience within the renewable energy sector.
      • Experience with transmission assets is preferred; however, candidates with relevant WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) scope experience will also be considered.
      • Demonstrable ability to work proactively and effectively under tight deadlines.
      • Strong commitment to safety and safe working practices.
      • Solid IT skills.
      • Previous experience using SAP for works planning and scheduling is essential.
