Role Overview

We are seeking a Controls/Automation Design Engineer with AutoCAD experience to support the development and standardisation of controls and automation design documentation. The role will focus on creating and updating AutoCAD standards, templates, and symbol libraries, while supporting the conversion of existing design documentation into AutoCAD format.

Key Responsibilities

Create a new AutoCAD Symbol Library for Controls/Automation applications, including:
- Control Logix
- PCS7
- Step 7 TIA
- Fire & Gas Equipment
- Vibration Monitoring
- Terminals
- Circuit Breakers
Create and update standard designs within AutoCAD.
Develop and maintain AutoCAD templates to support standardised engineering documentation.
Convert standard junction box designs into AutoCAD format.

Experience & Skills Required

Essential

Proven experience using AutoCAD.

Highly Desirable

Understanding of, or experience with, Automation and Control Panel Design.

Deliverables

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering:

A new AutoCAD Symbol Library for Controls/Automation systems and equipment.
Updated and standardised AutoCAD designs and templates.
Conversion of standard junction box designs into AutoCAD.
