    Our renewables client is seeking HSE Advisors to join their onshore pre-assembly team in Norfolk, VA. This contract position is set to begin ASAP and last into September/October. This role is 6 days per week, 12 hour shifts and has a 4 week on/off rotation schedule.

    Job description

    The Pre-Assembly HSE Advisor is responsible for providing expert health, safety, and environmental (HSE) advice and support to offshore wind projects at the onshore pre-assembly site. This role ensures compliance with all relevant legislation, industry best practices, and company policies, fostering a strong safety culture and minimizing environmental impact. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of offshore wind/renewables, risk management, and HSE principles, with a proven track record of successful implementation in demanding environments.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide on-site HSE support during pre-assembly operations, including audits, inspections, and safety briefings.
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety procedures and emergency response plans.
    • Liaise with onshore personnel, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
    • Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records of training and competency assessments.
    • Conduct emergency drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of response procedures.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Must be eligible to work onshore in the US without sponsorship
    • Previous offshore/onshore wind HSE experience highly preferred
    • TWIC card or willingness to obtain at own cost
    • Medical fitness certificate
    • Real-ID compliant license or US passport
