Our renewables client is seeking HSE Advisors to join their onshore pre-assembly team in Norfolk, VA. This contract position is set to begin ASAP and last into September/October. This role is 6 days per week, 12 hour shifts and has a 4 week on/off rotation schedule.

Job description

The Pre-Assembly HSE Advisor is responsible for providing expert health, safety, and environmental (HSE) advice and support to offshore wind projects at the onshore pre-assembly site. This role ensures compliance with all relevant legislation, industry best practices, and company policies, fostering a strong safety culture and minimizing environmental impact. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of offshore wind/renewables, risk management, and HSE principles, with a proven track record of successful implementation in demanding environments.

Responsibilities:

Provide on-site HSE support during pre-assembly operations, including audits, inspections, and safety briefings.
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety procedures and emergency response plans.
Liaise with onshore personnel, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records of training and competency assessments.
Conduct emergency drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of response procedures.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Must be eligible to work onshore in the US without sponsorship
Previous offshore/onshore wind HSE experience highly preferred
TWIC card or willingness to obtain at own cost
Medical fitness certificate
Real-ID compliant license or US passport
