Atlas Nextwave is looking for Electrical Quality Engineer to help maintain and optimize operations for our clients windfarm in South Africa. Candidates must have permit to work in South Africa to be considered.

Job description

Electrical Quality Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Engineer to support the delivery of utility-scale renewable energy project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance throughout the engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and grid connection phases of projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage electrical contractors, consultants, and equipment suppliers.
Review electrical designs, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Oversee quality assurance and quality control activities during construction and commissioning.
Conduct inspections and testing of electrical equipment, substations, protection systems, and SCADA systems.
Support grid compliance testing and commissioning activities.
Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and quality procedures.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, power generation, substations, EPC, or renewable energy projects.
Professional registration (or eligibility for registration) with ECSA.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, quality management, and commissioning processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
