Job description

Commissioning Electrician - Wind - 12 month contract
Contract | NSW & QLD

Atlas Nextwave is partnering with one of the largest global wind OEMs, which has a strong pipeline of wind farm projects across NSW and QLD. We're looking for licensed Commissioning Electricians to carry out electrical commissioning of their wind turbine generators across these sites.
It's a good chance to work with a major OEM on some of the larger wind projects in the country, and with multiple projects coming up, there's scope for ongoing work beyond your first site. Mobilisation, accommodation and a car are provided.

The role

Electrical commissioning of WTGs in line with OEM procedures
Installation work associated with commissioning
Electrical testing, verification and fault finding on ELV, LV and HV systems
Turbine energisation and de-energisation under HV procedures
Applying, controlling and removing electrical and mechanical LOTO
Leading commissioning activities at turbine level
Completing commissioning documentation and checklists

Australian Electrical Licence
GWO BST
HV Switching Operations
Driver's licence
Able to read electrical schematics and single line diagrams
Comfortable with reporting, documentation and MS Office
Happy to travel and work at height
