Job description

Inventory Audit & Physical Verification
* Lead wall-to-wall physical inventory counts across all rig sub-inventory locations
* Identify and reconcile missing, overage, shortage, and unrecorded ("newly found") items.
* Verify physical stock against ERP on-hand balances, locations, and descriptions.
* Validate contents of boxes and kits (not label-only verification), ensuring empty boxes are excluded from inventory.
* Ensure correct segregation and tracking of consumables, capital spares, kits, tools, and project leftovers.
* Identify cases of multiple ERP IDs for same parts and single IDs used for multiple parts.
* Ensure new items discovered onboard are properly codified and system controlled.
* Verify completeness of rebuild kits and segregate incomplete kits; and ensure kits are not cannibalized without system transactions / HOD confirmations.
* Support repackaging, relabelling, and correct issuing practices.

Preservation, Shelf-Life & Fit-for-Purpose Controls
* Verify preservation standards for rubber goods, seals, gaskets, lubricants, paints, solvents, and light/temperature-sensitive items.
* Identify expired, near-expiry, and incorrectly preserved items.
* Establish and/or validate expiry tracking mechanisms and shelf-life registers.
* Ensure correct storage conditions (UV protection, dunnage, rubber linings, heavy-item placement).
* Flag and segregate obsolete, damaged, or not-fit-for-purpose materials in coordination with HODs.

Storage, Housekeeping & Safety Compliance
* Assess and correct housekeeping standards across all storage locations.
* Ensure Logical binning and location sequencing; Proper labelling coverage; Safe access to shelves and walkways; Elimination of metal-to-metal contact etc.
* Review security controls for stores, HTS, and external locations (keys, access control, night shift practices).
* Identify absence of quarantine areas and recommend corrective layouts.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coaching
* Work closely with Rig HODs, Storekeepers, and Shore base Supply Chain Consultants / Project Managers
* Challenge poor practices constructively and drive immediate corrective actions where required.
* Act as an independent materials governance authority onboard.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement
* Produce detailed post-audit reports including Inventory statistics and variance analysis; Root-cause observations; Photographic evidence (Before/After); Actionable recommendations
* Highlight systemic risks such as high storekeeper turnover, poor controls, or training gaps.
* Capture lessons learned and contribute to fleet-wide materials improvement initiatives.
