We are currently seeking an experienced Stage 3 Crane Operator to join our client's semi-submersible vessel in the UK waters, commencing Mid February 2027 until November 2027.
The vessel will initially be operating in the UK Shipyard before sailing to the North Sea, where it will operate beyond the 12-nautical-mile limit.

Due to the vessel's operating location, candidates must either be UK citizens or hold a valid UK Frontier Worker Permit.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of the vessel's lifting equipment, supervising deck operations and ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate the vessel's cranes, lifting appliances and gangway.
Supervise and coordinate deck crew activities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Undertake the role of Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO).
Oversee helideck and Fast Rescue Boat (FRB) crew activities.
Ensure compliance with Permit to Work procedures and the vessel's Material Handling Plan.
Manage the rigging loft, lifting equipment and associated inspections.
Assist with planned maintenance, deck housekeeping and equipment upkeep.
Support anchor handling, mooring and marine operations.
Monitor deck crew performance and maintain high safety standards.
Report equipment defects and ensure maintenance activities are correctly recorded.

Candidate Requirements

Stage 3 Crane Operator certification.
Previous offshore crane operating experience, ideally on semi-submersible vessels.
Experience supervising deck crews and coordinating lifting operations.
Good understanding of offshore safety procedures, lifting operations and Permit to Work systems.
HLO experience or relevant certification would be advantageous.
Relevant offshore certification and medical fitness for mobilisation.
