    Atlas NextWave is recruiting for an experienced Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to join a leading energy operator supporting critical onshore and offshore gas production assets in the North West of England.     The Role

    As a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will provide specialist engineering support for a range of rotating equipment including compressors, pumps, engines, and associated systems. Working closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams, you will drive reliability, asset integrity, and performance improvements across the facility.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide technical support for rotating equipment to maintain safe and reliable operations.
    • Support and optimise preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
    • Troubleshoot equipment failures and conduct root cause analyses.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
    • Support inspection, testing, and condition monitoring programmes.
    • Provide engineering input into capital projects, modifications, and commissioning activities.
    • Review and approve technical work scopes, job packs, and method statements.
    • Manage contractor and vendor technical performance.
    • Support turnaround, start-up, and commissioning activities.
    • Participate in risk assessments, safety studies, and management of change processes.
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation and engineering records.

    About You

    We are looking for an engineer with substantial experience in rotating equipment within the oil and gas sector and a strong understanding of asset integrity and reliability engineering principles.

    • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
    • Significant experience supporting rotating equipment within oil and gas facilities.
    • Strong understanding of maintenance strategies and reliability engineering.
    • Knowledge of industry standards including API, ASME, and ISO.
    • Experience working with condition monitoring, equipment inspections, and integrity management programmes.
    • Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
