    Job description

    Atlas Next Wave is supporting a leading Contractor in the search for Riggers

    The Rigger is responsible for safely rigging, lifting, moving, and positioning materials, equipment, pipes, structural steel, and fabricated components. Working closely with crane operators, banksmen, lifting supervisors, and HSE personnel, the Rigger ensures all lifting operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Carry out rigging and slinging activities for lifting and moving materials, equipment, pipes, spools, steel structures, and heavy components.
    • Inspect lifting gear, slings, shackles, hooks, spreader bars, and rigging equipment before use.
    • Assist with crane lifting operations, load positioning, signaling, and load control.
    • Follow approved lifting plans, permit requirements, and site safety procedures.
    • Identify unsafe lifting conditions and immediately report damaged equipment or unsafe practices.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum 2-4 years' experience as a rigger in a fabrication yard, construction site, port, marine, oil and gas, or heavy industrial environment.
    • Recognized rigging and slinging training or certification.
    • Ability to work safely around cranes, forklifts, trucks, and heavy equipment.

    Preferred
    Banksman / signalman certification.
    Experience with pipe spools, structural steel, offshore equipment, or heavy lifts.
    Basic HSE training and permit-to-work awareness.
