Serve as the primary focal point for regulatory compliance and management system support for operations in Mexico. Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of compliance programs related to ASEA, SASSISOPA, applicable NOMs, customer requirements, and internal standards.
Coordinate the collection, verification, organization, maintenance, and communication of compliance evidence and supporting documentation required by regulators and customers.
2+ years of experience within the oil and gas industry and compliance, management system and operations.
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or related discipline. Relevant regulatory compliance experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Fluent Spanish and English.
Offshore drilling experience. Experience supporting ASEA, SASSISOPA, NOM compliance programs, or other regulatory management systems. Experience working with customers, regulators, and contractors in Mexico.
Knowledge of ASEA regulations, SASSISOPA requirements, and applicable NOM standards. Experience with compliance tracking software, management systems, and document control processes. Project management or continuous improvement experience. Offshore operational experience on deepwater drilling units.
Coordinate the collection, review, organization, retention, and distribution of compliance records from rigs, contractors, and support functions. Ensure documentation remains current, traceable, auditable, and readily available for customer requests, regulatory reviews, and operational readiness activities.
Serve as the subject matter expert for Mexico-specific compliance requirements within company management systems, ensuring local regulatory obligations are appropriately integrated into corporate processes, procedures, and operational controls.
Conduct regular offshore visits to educate and support personnel on regulatory and management system requirements, verify implementation and effectiveness of compliance processes, review supporting evidence and records, and maintain current operational knowledge of offshore drilling activities. Act as the interface between shore-based compliance requirements and offshore operations to ensure regulatory obligations are translated into practical and effective operational controls.
