We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a specialist Fibre Optic Cable Deployment and Recovery project.
The role will initially be shore-based, focusing on project planning, equipment assessment, mobilisation and operational preparation. Remote-based candidates will be considered.
As the project progresses, the successful candidate will move offshore to provide hands-on support with rigging, cable deployment equipment and operational oversight onboard the vessel.
This role would suit an experienced Project Manager, Party Manager, Party Chief, Survey Manager or similar offshore professional with a strong background in seabed cable installation and deployment operations.
Support the planning and scoping of fibre optic cable deployment and recovery activities.
Assess and advise on equipment inventory, suitability and mobilisation requirements.
Provide technical input into vessel and equipment suitability.
Support mobilisation, preparation and offshore project execution.
Oversee and assist with rigging and deployment equipment setup.
Provide offshore operational supervision and hands-on support.
Assist with the safe and efficient deployment and recovery of cable.
Work closely with vessel crews and offshore project teams.
Provide practical solutions to technical and operational challenges.
Support the successful delivery of the project from mobilisation through to completion.
Candidates should have:
Previous seabed/subsea cable installation experience, including trenched and untrenched operations.
Experience advising on, installing and operating cable deployment equipment.
A strong hands-on approach to equipment operation and project execution.
Previous offshore supervisory or project management experience.
Experience assessing vessel and equipment suitability.
Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary offshore teams.
A strong commitment to safe working practices.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate relevant experience in subsea/seabed cable installation, deployment, recovery or associated offshore operations.
The initial phase is expected to commence ASAP on a shore-based basis, supporting project planning and preparation.
The offshore phase is currently anticipated for June/July 2027, with an expected duration of approximately 2 months, subject to final project schedules.
