NDT Foreman

Job description

Atlas Next Wave is looking for an NDT Foreman who would be responsible for supervising non-destructive testing activities in the yard, ensuring inspections are carried out safely, correctly, and in accordance with approved procedures, codes, and project specifications. The role coordinates NDT technicians, inspection schedules, reporting, and interface with welding, QA/QC, production, and client representatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise daily NDT activities, including UT, MT, PT, RT coordination, visual inspection support, and weld inspection requirements.
• Allocate NDT technicians and ensure inspection works are carried out according to approved procedures and project priorities.
• Review weld maps, inspection requests, NDT reports, and repair status.
• Coordinate with welding supervisors, QA/QC inspectors, and production teams to schedule inspections and minimize delays.
• Ensure NDT equipment, consumables, calibration records, and safety controls are properly maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, weld repairs, reject rates, and pending NDT activities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Technical certification in NDT, welding inspection, mechanical inspection, or related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in NDT within oil and gas, fabrication, welding, marine, refinery, or industrial construction.
• Minimum 2 years' supervisory or lead technician experience.
• ASNT Level II, ISO 9712, PCN, or equivalent certification in relevant methods such as UT, MT, PT, RT, or VT.

Preferred
CSWIP, AWS-CWI, or equivalent welding inspection certification.
Experience supervising NDT on pressure piping, structural fabrication, tanks, spools, or offshore components.
