Job description

· Organising and supervising the Roughnecks.
· Preparing equipment for routine operations on the rig floor.
· Assisting the Derrickman.
· Maintaining the equipment on the rig floor to a safe standard.
· Assisting in pre-use checks.
· Performing maintenance of drilling equipment.
· Routine mud sampling, viscosity checks and mixing chemicals with the Mud engineer.
· Cleaning mud tanks.
· Signalling the Crane Operator in bringing equipment to and from the rig floor in a safe and effective manner.
