Atlas NextWave is recruiting an experienced Instrument Preparator to support maintenance and reliability activities at a key UK gas processing facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for an instrumentation professional with oil & gas maintenance experience to join a high-performing site team on a long-term contract aligned with the operational lifecycle of a major energy asset. The contract is expected to run for approximately two years.
The Role
Working within the maintenance team, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating instrumentation maintenance activities, supporting safe and efficient execution of planned and corrective maintenance work, and ensuring resources, materials and technical requirements are in place ahead of execution.
Key responsibilities include:
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
✅ Instrumentation experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, process, LNG or related industries.
✅ Strong knowledge of maintenance and production operations.
✅ Experience developing maintenance work scopes and supporting field execution.
✅ Ability to liaise effectively with technicians, contractors and operations teams.
✅ ONC, HNC, BTEC or equivalent engineering qualification.
✅ A proactive approach to safety, maintenance excellence and continuous improvement.
Desirable
CompEx certification.
Supervisory or team leadership experience.
Experience within COMAH, gas terminal or hydrocarbon processing facilities.
