The role requires a hands-on mentality, basic mechanical knowledge, a strong safety mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of the engine room team. Previous experience as a Greaser, Wiper, Oiler, Motorman or Engine Room Rating is required. Experience on offshore, dredging, construction or tanker vessels is considered an advantage. Good English communication skills are essential.

Job description

The Greaser is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the engine room onboard. The main duties include assisting with daily engine room rounds, monitoring machinery, checking for leaks or defects, lubricating equipment, cleaning machinery spaces and supporting routine maintenance and repair activities. The Greaser will also assist with fuel transfer operations and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with onboard safety and environmental procedures.
