    About the Role

We are partnering with a leading global provider of critical power and infrastructure solutions to recruit an experienced Commissioning Technician - Power based in Melbourne.

This is a hands-on technical role responsible for the end-to-end commissioning of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Static Transfer Switch (STS) systems across major data centre and critical infrastructure projects.

Working alongside experienced project and commissioning teams, you will take ownership of commissioning activities from initial testing through to final handover, ensuring critical power systems operate safely, reliably and in accordance with project requirements.

The successful candidate will bring strong electrical and technical experience within critical power environments, with the ability to work independently across complex, large-scale project sites.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and execute L2, L3 and L4 commissioning activities across UPS and STS systems.

    • Carry out electrical testing, system verification, fault diagnosis and commissioning through to handover.

    • Work closely with project managers, commissioning managers and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

    • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, control and communication system issues during commissioning.

    • Support service teams with maintenance, repairs and additional technical works as required.

    • Monitor commissioning progress, identify technical issues and communicate updates to project stakeholders.

    About You

    • Electrical Trade Qualification and unrestricted Victorian Electrical Licence (mandatory).

    • Proven experience within the critical power industry, ideally commissioning or servicing UPS and STS systems.

    • Strong electrical fault-finding, testing and commissioning capabilities.

    • Sound understanding of electrical controls, networking and communication systems.

    • Experience working within data centres, telecommunications or mission-critical infrastructure.

    • Ability to work independently, manage commissioning schedules and deliver under project deadlines.
