    Accountant | Renewable Energy Developer | Seoul, Korea

    Our client is a well-established renewable energy developer with a growing portfolio of projects across Asia. Backed by a leading global infrastructure investment platform, the company is expanding its regional finance team and is seeking an experienced Accountant to support its Korea-based operations.

    Job description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support day-to-day accounting operations and tax-related activities for assigned entities.
    • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
    • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and other internal and external reporting requirements.
    • Assist with cash flow monitoring and short-term forecasting.
    • Coordinate annual external audits, statutory reporting, and tax filing processes.
    • Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of accounting policies, systems, and internal controls.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and respond to ad hoc finance-related requests.

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple deadlines, and solve problems proactively.
    • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
    • Comfortable taking ownership of work and delivering accurate results with minimal supervision.
    • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior management, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
    • Experience working in a dynamic, international business environment is highly valued.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
    • CPA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
    • 4-7 years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in an in-house corporate finance or accounting role.
    • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
    • Solid knowledge of IFRS and Korean accounting standards, with an understanding of corporate finance processes.
    • Experience with multi-entity closing and consolidated financial reporting is preferred.
    • Business-level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
