Atlas NextWave is constantly looking for experienced Able Seaman for various clients. Assignments can take place both in the Netherlands and abroad. Our clients are active in the merchant, towage, dredging and offshore.

Job description

Independently maintaining the ship
Anchor handling
Assist with towing and pushing
Assisting with dredging, survey and offshore work
Assisting with maintaining deck equipment and work in engine room
Painting, lubrication and cleaning
Assisting with mooring and unmooring
Working with steel wires
Working with the hydraulic crane
Compliance with safety instructions
Facility tasks such as cleaning and providing meals

Minimum Job Requirements:

Minimum certificate of competency; STCW Rating part of engineering watch or Rating part of navigational watch
Recent experience as a Able Seaman
Good command of English language
Valid maritime medical examination
Seaman’s book
Basic Safety
Safety Awareness
