Houston: A Rising Force in U.S. Energy Projects
Atlas NextWave recently participated in Congreso Mexicano del PetrĂ³leo (CMP) 2026 in Veracruz, one of Latin America's leading oil and gas industry events. Bringing together operators, contractors, service providers and industry professionals from across the region, the conference provided an important platform for discussing market developments, workforce challenges and future opportunities within the energy sector. Representing Atlas NextWave were members of our North America team, who met with clients, partners and industry stakeholders throughout the event to discuss talent acquisition, workforce management and specialist staffing solutions for complex energy projects across Mexico and the wider region.
As part of our participation, Atlas NextWave proudly sponsored the inaugural networking cocktail at the Holland House Mexico Dutch Pavilion. The event brought together representatives from Dutch and international organisations active in Mexico’s energy sector, creating an opportunity to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas and explore new opportunities for collaboration. The reception attracted a strong turnout from across the industry and highlighted the growing connections between international expertise and Mexico’s evolving energy market.
Congreso Mexicano del PetrĂ³leo remains one of the most important meeting places for the Mexican energy industry, attracting decision-makers from operators, drilling contractors, engineering firms, service providers and supply chain partners. Throughout the conference, Atlas NextWave engaged with industry leaders to discuss workforce trends, project requirements and the talent challenges facing both established and emerging energy developments. Topics ranged from offshore drilling and engineering through to operations, maintenance and specialist technical staffing requirements. As projects become increasingly complex, access to qualified personnel continues to be a critical factor in successful project delivery.
Atlas NextWave supports clients throughout Mexico and the wider Americas region with specialist recruitment, workforce management and operational support solutions. Our experience spans offshore drilling, marine operations, engineering, construction, production and energy transition projects. By combining local market knowledge with a global talent network built over more than four decades, we help organisations access the skilled professionals required to deliver projects safely, efficiently and compliantly.
Industry events such as Congreso Mexicano del PetrĂ³leo provide valuable opportunities to deepen relationships, gain market insight and better understand the challenges facing clients and partners across the energy sector. We would like to thank everyone who visited us during the event and joined the Holland House Mexico networking reception. We look forward to continuing these conversations and supporting the growth and success of energy projects across Mexico and the Americas.
