We are supporting an international organisation delivering major data centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects in Korea.
They are looking to appoint an experienced Senior HSE Manager to provide safety leadership across a large-scale data centre project in Gimpo.
This is a senior, stakeholder-facing position with responsibility for establishing and maintaining high standards of Health, Safety and Environmental performance throughout project delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the client, main contractor, project leadership and site teams to identify and manage risk, drive safety performance and ensure compliance with Korean and international standards.
Lead the overall HSE strategy and implementation across the project
Provide senior HSE leadership throughout design, construction and commissioning
Act as a key HSE point of contact for the client and wider project leadership team
Work closely with the main contractor's HSE and construction teams to maintain project safety standards
Monitor project HSE performance, trends and key risk areas
Lead audits, inspections and regular HSE reviews
Identify high-risk activities and develop appropriate mitigation measures
Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis and lessons-learned processes
Establish and maintain project HSE procedures, reporting and assurance processes
Review contractor HSE plans, risk assessments and method statements
Engage with relevant regulatory authorities and support compliance requirements
Provide regular HSE reporting to senior project and client stakeholders
Promote a strong safety culture across the project and challenge unsafe practices where required
Support the development and delivery of HSE training and awareness programmes
Work collaboratively with project management, construction and commissioning teams to ensure safe project delivery
We are looking for an experienced Senior HSE / Safety Manager with a strong background in major construction projects and the confidence to operate at senior stakeholder level.
You should have:
Minimum 13 years of Health & Safety experience within construction
Significant experience on large-scale building, industrial, commercial or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of Korean construction HSE regulations and KOSHA requirements
Good understanding of international HSE standards and practices, including ISO and OSHA
Proven experience managing HSE programmes on complex construction projects
Experience working closely with main contractors, site management and construction teams
Strong ability to communicate with clients and senior project stakeholders
Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations and risk assessments
Strong understanding of high-risk construction activities and associated controls
Degree or professional qualification in Health & Safety, Safety Management or a related discipline preferred
Relevant construction HSE certifications are advantageous
Fluent Korean and English, both written and verbal
Previous experience within data centres or other mission-critical environments is highly desirable.

Colocation facilities
Mission-critical infrastructure
High-rise or large commercial developments
Industrial or technologically complex facilities
Large-scale MEP construction projects
Experience working in an owner's representative, client-side, consultancy or project management environment would be particularly advantageous.
