We are hiring an experienced Marine & Structure Subject Matter Expert to support offshore marine operations, structural integrity, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
MARINE & STRUCTURE SME
The Marine/Structure - Subject Matter Expert's overall responsibilities are but not limited to the
following. The common core job description for all SMEs are given below. The technical job
description of the SMEs is given afterwards:
* Promote and enforce adherence to safe work systems and practices to mitigate risks for
personnel and contractors.
* Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, guidelines, industry practices and
all applicable regulations and relevant legislation.
* Contribute to project goals and drive departmental objectives by actively participating in
project meetings and delivering routine progress and status updates to the Project Support
Specialists(project planner, document controller etc.)
* Develop and maintain accurate asset identification and criticality assessments, supported by
associated documentation for system components.
* Update and manage the work breakdown structure (WBS) to reflect all planned activities for
the relevant discipline.
* Prepare both high-level and detailed scope of works (SOW) for activities for the relevant
discipline, including inspection, maintenance, repair, implementation, modification, and
commissioning.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to avoid conflicts between operational
activities and project schedules.
* Support budgeting and procurement processes by collaborating with the Supply Chain
Specialist.
* Generate and issue material and service requisitions with the necessary detailed technical
specifications.
* Address quality and safety matters and escalate related issues promptly to the Quality, Health,
Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Specialist.
* Manage engineering-related issues using technical queries and ensure timely resolution.
* Maintain comprehensive project reports in line with performance metrics, and organize project
records, documentation, and certifications by assisting the Project Support Specialists with
uploads into the Company's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
* Review documentation, including original equipment manufacturers (OEM) product
information bulletins (PIB), to ensure currency and accuracy.
Marine/Structure SME Job Description:
* Oversee the inspection, maintenance, and commissioning of:
o Marine systems: mooring, anchoring, and towing equipment
o Tank systems: ballast, bilge, fuel, potable water, mud, and greywater tanks
o Safety & emergency systems: fire and gas detection, suppression systems, ESD,
PA/GA,
lifesaving appliances
o Accommodation and welfare facilities: galley, laundry, sanitary systems, medical and
recreational areas
* Coordinate and support class surveys, flag state inspections, and third-party audits.
* Determine scope and coordinate all structural modification projects with subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with IMO conventions (SOLAS, MARPOL), MODU Code, ISM/ISPS codes,
and
flag state requirements.
* Review and validate technical documentation, maintenance records, and certification
packages.
* Provide technical leadership to onboard marine teams and support the development of
commissioning procedures and punch list resolution
