    We're currently seeking an experienced Crew Operator for an exciting offshore opportunity with one of our clients.

    Position: Crew Operator
    Location: Alabama
    Contract: Until 17 August

    Job description

    Role & Responsibilities:
    Responsible for safe and compliant operation of carousel, tensioner and loading tower systems during onshore and offshore projects, in accordance with applicable Operating Manuals, Work Instructions, project procedures and QHSE requirements.

    Reports to the Supervisor.

    Responsibilities:

    • Inspect equipment condition before and after operations (oil levels, hoses, filters, bolts, sensors).
    • Verify correct functioning of guards, alarms and emergency stops.
    • Operate carousel and tensioner in accordance with approved manuals and Supervisor instructions.
    • Monitor rotation speed, direction and line tension during operations.
    • Stop operations immediately in case of unsafe or abnormal conditions.
    • Support recording of operational data where required.
    • Perform basic maintenance tasks (cleaning, greasing, filter changes).
    • Report technical defects beyond operator level.
    • Assist with connection/disconnection of hydraulic and electrical systems.
    • Secure equipment properly for transport and storage.
    • Comply with client safety procedures, including LOTO and permit-to-work systems.
    • Participate in toolbox talks and report incidents and near misses.

    Competence Requirements:

    • STCW 95
    • BOSIET
    • Offshore Medical
    • First Aid
    • VCA / SCC (NL)/ MIST / IMIST (UK) (as applicable)

    Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years Cable / Carousel Operations
    • Minimum 2 years Offshore experience

    Education / Training:

    • Electrical, mechanical or hydraulic training (preferred)
    • Internal QHSE training
