    Job description

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Steward Team Leader to join our client's semi-submersible crane vessel operating in the UK (within 12 nautical miles).

    Start Date: 19th August
    Rotation: 10 Weeks
    Location: UK Waters (within 12NM)

    Please note: Due to the vessel operating within 12 nautical miles of the UK, applicants must be either a UK national or hold a valid Frontier Worker Permit.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading offshore project, where you will be responsible for leading the housekeeping team and supporting the Facility Manager and Chief Cook in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient accommodation and galley environment onboard. You will liaise with the Chief Cook, Cook 1 and Handyman, your direct reports will be Stewards and laundryman.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and coordinate daily housekeeping activities in consultation with the Facility Manager.
    • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the galley and accommodation areas.
    • Ensure accommodation and galley areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Assist with the handling, receipt, and storage of supplies.
    • Report any defects or malfunctioning equipment immediately.
    • Ensure the correct PPE is worn at all times in designated areas.
    • Act as a member of the Accommodation Search and Stretcher Team.
    • Maintain knowledge of safe food handling practices.
    • Use detergents and accommodation chemicals safely in accordance with the Steward Handbook.
    • Carry out any other duties as directed by the Facility Manager or Supervisor.

    Essential Certification Requirements

    Applicants must hold the following valid certificates:

    • BOSIET
    • STCW Basic Safety Training
    • STCW Security Awareness or Designated Security Duties
    • Updated PSSR (Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities)
    • Valid OGUK Medical
    • Valid Seafarer Medical
