Our client is seeking a Permitting & Consents Lead to join their fiber optic cable project in the US.

Job description

Responsibilities:

Direct the preparation, submission, and negotiation of federal, state, and local permit applications (e.g., environmental resource permits, zoning approvals, ROW/crossing agreements, and local utility licenses)
Ensure all construction and operational activities strictly adhere to permit conditions, environmental regulations, and mitigation requirements
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, municipalities, environmental groups, and affected landowners
Identify and evaluate potential permitting risks. Proactively manage permitting deliverables against the project's critical path and budget
Support or oversee the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and coordinate baseline studies (cultural, biological, and wetland delineations)

Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Public Policy, or a related field preferred
Deep understanding of local land-use laws, eminent domain (if applicable), and environmental regulations
