    Job description

    We are currently recruiting an experienced 2nd Cook to join one of our clients' seismic vessels for a 6-week offshore assignment, commencing 12 August.
    This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional offshore crew, supporting the galley team in delivering high-quality catering services while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, food safety and customer service.

    Assignment Details

    • Duration: 6 Weeks

    The Role

    Working alongside the Chief Cook, you'll help provide nutritious, high-quality meals for the crew while ensuring the galley and food storage areas are maintained to exceptional standards.
    Your duties will include:

    • Assisting with the preparation and service of meals for the vessel's crew.
    • Preparing fresh, nutritious meals and baked goods where required.
    • Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
    • Assisting with stock control, inventory management and food storage.
    • Supporting menu planning and catering for dietary requirements.
    • Ensuring compliance with all company food safety and hygiene procedures.
    • Working safely and efficiently as part of a busy offshore catering team.

    Essential Requirements

    Candidates must hold the following:

    • STCW Ship's Cook Certificate of Competence
    • STCW Basic Safety Training
    • STCW Designated Security Duties
    • Food Hygiene Certificate
    • Valid STCW Seafarer Medical
    • HUET/BOSIET/FOET
    • Right to Work in the UK Documentation

    Eligibility

    Due to the vessel's operating location within 12 nautical miles of the UK coastline, applicants must either:

    • Be a UK citizen, or
    • Hold a valid UK Frontier Worker Permit.
